On this Memorial Day, my thoughts turn to my dear cousin, Scarlett. Scarlett lived for only a couple of months before she returned to a loving Heavenly Father. Her passing was a great trial for our whole family, but especially my aunt, Mandi. She is one of my greatest inspirations and role models. She was so strong through everything because she knows that she will see Scarlett again, and she will be able to raise that perfect little girl someday. I can't wait to see Scarlett again and get to know her. I love my family and for the strong support system we have in such close reach.

Memorial Day
I've always thought of Memorial Day as a day without school. A day to relax before finals. But as I've grown older, I've come to realize that Memorial Day is more than just a day for barbecuing. It's a day to remember those who have passed on to the next life, especially those who gave their lives for our country. We can never acknowledged them nor thank them enough for paying the ultimate sacrifice in the fight to keep our country The Land of the Free.

Peter Pan
This past week I was able to be a part of our high school's production of "Peter Pan" as an Indian. This was my first play since South Pacific. I forgot how much I love performing. On closing night, I also got to do a dance duet with Tash, who played Tiger Lilly. It was an amazing experience with some amazing people that I am lucky enough to call my friends. We have a very talented group of teenagers at our school and I am honored that I had the opportunity to work with them, and to be a part of the amazing performance! It was also all of the seniors' last high school performance. The seniors have inspired and welcomed me into their theatre family and I will forever be grateful for that. I miss it already but I have some great memories to carry me through until we perform... Footloose!!!
