I am now THAT person - Kale Chip Recipe

When I asked my family if we could plant kale just so I could try kale chips, of course they made fun of me and assured me that I wouldn't like it. But they planted a small crop of kale just for me. Well yesterday I jumped onto that healthy bandwagon and made kale chips. The Abby-Jury returned with a verdict of... Delicious!!! So if you would like to try them, here's the recipe!

1) Gather/buy your kale.

2) Wash your kale and pull of the leaves from the stem. Make sure you get all of the stem off because the stem is a little tough to chew once it's baked.

3) Oil and salt your kale. I used about 2 TBSP of olive oil and 1/2 TBSP of salt. Massage the oil and the salt into the leaves, coating each leaf until they are glossy and shiny.

4) Lay your kale on a rimmed baking sheet. Make sure that you don't have any leaves overlapping because then they won't have the crunch that everyone is obsessed with. Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes.

5) While you wait for your healthy, crunchy, guilt-free kale chips to bake, have a snack. You deserve it, champ.

6) After about 10 minutes, pull your kale chips of deliciousness out of the oven. You can now add whatever spices or flavorings you desire, or you can just leave them plain. I added garlic salt to mine and they were so good!

7) Enjoy the guilt-free crunch of your kale chips!!!
